# Data transfer access/globus at UIC

For regular Users : (make sure to have VPN connection access these links)

- If they have limited size of data to transfer they can use : SCP/SFTP via Extreme login nodes and for more information check here : [https://confluence.acer.uic.edu/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=55279662](https://confluence.acer.uic.edu/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=55279662)
- If they have large size data, they need globus, therefore, they can request DTN access here: [https://uic.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV\_bE05WpP38eEp4qh](https://uic.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bE05WpP38eEp4qh)
