There are a bunch of password managers out there: 1password, lastpass, keepass, keeper, bitwarden. I currently use keeper, but am considering switching. If you use a password manager, which one do you use and what has your experience been?

I currently use 1password (payed), though have used lastpass previously but switched over when they started charging for their multi-device tier. I had a free 1password trial, but chose to pay up due to their super well integrated application. It feels quite a bit more polished and complete out of the box than lastpass had and less buggy when competing with other password managers (such as the integrated apple keychain).

Getting the family plan helps me save some money as well and has helped me convince my family members to finally start using a password manager!!!

I use Bitwarden because it is open sourced. My usage is mostly with browser plugin and iOS app (so that I can check my password when away from my computer.)

It is reassuring to know that I can easily port my data if Bitwarden goes down.

There is a CLI version of Bitwarden and I haven’t quite figured out how to use it so that I can use it as a secret manager and call it programmatically from my code.
