CCV Support & reporting IT outages during winter break

Hello,

Friendly reminder that the University is closed starting at 5:00 pm, Friday, December 18, 2020 until 8:30 am, Monday, January 4, 2021. During this time, to report a failed critical IT service (Oscar, Stronghold), please follow the steps below:

  1. A. Check the alerts at https://it.brown.edu/alerts/general to make sure it is not already known.
  2. B. If there is no alert, call the IT Service Center at (401) 863-4357 and follow the prompts:
  • Option 0 is used to report a critical issue. You will be connected with our answering service who will take your information and report the outage to the Operations Center POC
    ** Important: for Oscar, indicate service is High-Performance Computing Cluster ; for Stronghold, indicate Stronghold
  • Option 1 is used to leave a message for the Service Center which will not be picked up until the next business day.

Non-critical issues will be addressed after the University re-opens.
