Currently, Open OnDemand (OOD) doesn’t have lustre storage mounted, which is where project and scratch storage live. However, the nodes allocated through OOD do have access. This means that your instance of Jupyter or RStudio can access your project storage.
These applications mount your home directory as root (/). To be able to navigate to your project storage we can create a shortcut.
- Open a terminal (or command prompt) and login to the cluster
ssh USERNAME@arcc2.uc.edu
- Once logged in, your current directory will be your home directory and we can put the shortcut (symbolic link) there
ln -s /N/lustre/project/proj-NUMBER proj-NUMBER
Now you’ll see your project directory in Jupyter and RStudio. The same can be done with scratch space as well.
