Description: To accommodate the newer version of CUDA toolkit we will be updating the Nvidia hardware driver to version 440.33.01 on all GPU nodes on Oscar. We will start rolling out the update on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.
Details: The newer CUDA version 10.1 is already available on Oscar:
module load cuda/10.1.105
Driver version 418.87.00 is currently on nodes gpu1404,1405. If you’d like to use CUDA version 10.1 in the meantime, you will need to request these nodes:
#SBATCH --nodelist=gpu1404,gpu1405
User Impact: Minimal as users can still submit jobs but they will start running once nodes become available. Newer drivers will still support the older CUDA versions.
