INFO - Oscar scheduled maintenance - January 13, 2020 at 8:00 am - January 21, 2020 at 8:00 am

The Oscar cluster will be unavailable beginning Monday, January 13, 2020 at 8:00 am, for scheduled maintenance. The cluster will return to full production by Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 8:00 am (or earlier).

Following services will be unavailable during the downtime:
SSH Login
VNC
File System Mounts (CIFS, SMB)
Yurt

Existing jobs and VNC sessions will terminate. Any Slurm jobs that request a walltime which would take them past Monday, January 13, 2020 at 8:00 am will not start and will remain in the queue until after the maintenance is completed.

During this downtime, we will perform several maintenance tasks, including upgrading the GPFS file-system. An update will be sent once the cluster is back in production.

In anticipation of the upcoming downtime - any jobs in the queue that can’t finish before 8 am on the morning of the downtime won’t run. They will remain in the queue until the nodes are released back into production on January 21, 2020 (or earlier).

The SLURM queue or job status will indicate: ReqNodeNotAvail - Requested Node not available.

Existing jobs that run past Monday, January 13, 2020, and VNC sessions will terminate.
