Hi folks, the new Ampere A100 GPU supports “multi-instance GPU”, i.e. allowing a GPU to be partitioned so multiple people can use the GPU to maximize throughout of computations. Other than Ampere A100, any other cards or architecture supporting this kind of capability?
From the NVIDIA documentation https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/technologies/multi-instance-gpu it looks like the H100, A100, and A30 gpus are supported.
The ‘Multi-Instance GPU’ (MIG) feature is referred to as the ‘MxGPU’ feature by AMD. The cards supporting ‘MxGPU’ are listed on the page with detailed information; https://www.amd.com/en/graphics/workstation-virtual-graphics
Radeon Pro V series, Instinct M series, and Radeon Pro S have support for ‘MxGPU’.
